Houston Independent School District

The Houston Independent School District consists of over 300 schools serving more than 202,000 students.  The schools are organized into five geographic regions (North, South, East, West and Central) by zoning patterns for specific elementary, middle, and high schools.  In addition to the main administrative offices, there is also an Alternative and Charter Schools Office to oversee those facilities.
